OBJECTIVE
You command the missile defense network for a randomly assigned faction. Protect your cities from endless waves of enemy ICBMs. Survive as long as possible — there is no final wave.
GAME FLOW
Each wave has two phases:
1. PREP PHASE — A timed countdown before each wave. During prep you can:
- Buy batteries from the shop (center panel)
- Place batteries by clicking the map near your cities
- Queue retaliatory strikes by clicking enemy cities on the map
Press
SPACE or click
ENGAGE to start the wave early. If the timer expires, the wave begins automatically.
2. WAVE PHASE — Fully automated. Your batteries intercept incoming missiles on their own. Watch the defense unfold — no player input needed.
COMMAND POINTS (CP)
CP is your currency. You earn CP from:
- Intercepting enemy missiles (combo multiplier up to 3x)
- Surviving a wave (scales with wave number)
- Each surviving city (50 CP per city per wave)
- Destroying enemy cities via strikes (+300 CP)
- Eliminating a faction (+1000 CP)
Spend CP on defense batteries and retaliatory strikes during the prep phase.
WEAPON SYSTEMS
New systems unlock as waves progress. There are four tiers:
- Conventional (waves 1-18) — PATRIOT, C-RAM, NASAMS, THAAD, S-400, AEGIS, GBI. Kinetic interceptors with limited ammo, reloaded between waves.
- Energy (waves 22-34) — IRON BEAM, HELIOS, THOR. High ammo but require recharge time between shots. THOR has area-of-effect damage.
- Exotic (waves 42-50) — ORBITAL KINETIC, PARTICLE BEAM. Extreme range, very high kill probability.
- Shield (wave 60) — SHIELD ARRAY. Creates a protective dome over a city that absorbs up to 5 missiles.
RETALIATORY STRIKES
Click any enemy city during prep to queue an offensive strike:
- ICBM — Single warhead, cheap
- MIRV — Splits into 3 warheads
- HEAVY MIRV (wave 10) — 5 warheads, high yield
- THERMONUKE (wave 20) — Massive single warhead, 5000kt
Destroying all cities of a faction eliminates them and reduces incoming threats.
TIPS
- Place batteries near clusters of cities for maximum coverage
- Longer-range batteries can protect multiple cities at once
- Eliminate weaker factions early to reduce incoming missile volume
- Save CP for higher-tier weapons — they are dramatically more effective
- Enemy warhead yields increase over time — late waves hit much harder
- Batteries have limited service life — check the wave counter in the defense panel
- Press R to toggle range rings on/off for better visibility
